The End Let's start with The End . Easily 10 steps ahead of everyone else, The End Features some of the most dynamic DJ talent in the capital.

Check out one of London's finest sound systems purring out a tight, dry bass, ideal for anything more tribal and tek. Located in the West End, its only 5 minutes walk from Holborn Tube, just off New Oxford Street. Look for the bright, blue building. Part of the experience includes the long queues to get in.

The Music: The music varies throughout the week depending on who's djing, anything from soulful house, deep house to killer electro-techno. With Layo and Bushwacka stirring it up, the weekdays are just as good as the weekends. The Place: A metallic staircase takes you down to this iconic, mid-sized underground club, where the main room consists of 2 arches with the DJ booth right in the middle of the spring-loaded dance floor.

The End is also host to its sister venue, The AKA bar (which has an illuminated 15m bar and was the original DJ bar in London), mixing together every Saturday to create the legendary 'As One.' Attached to the main lounge is a smaller room, which often outpaces the main room when it everything goes off.

London's most famous after hours party is held here every Sunday morning to 4am.

East London's Unit 7 - Cable Studios, 556 Cable Street, London EW1 2HB - is an awesome ravers nirvana. Unit 7 is only 5 minutes from Brick Lane but isn't easy to find. There are no signs. It's at the end of an entrance to a warehouse estate.

The Music: The music varies throughout the week. Fridays are Bicycle Club night with minimal techno and trance dance music. On Saturdays its techno with a monthly party called 'The Zombie Ate My Brain' - where revellers dress as zombies and dance to techno music.

The Place: A shabby-chic warehouse, well-worn leather sofas, with electrifying atmosphere and hallucinogenic images projected around the club. Red glowing dark pillars in the middle of the room give the club an eerie vibe. This place fills up at around 2am.

In 2003 the The Egg Club opened to a fanfare of glorious reviews and - in the same year - won an award as London's best club. At the house music awards it was listed as one of the top 50 clubs in the world. Now's the time to check out this iconic club.

The Music: The music is all dance music though - with the multiple dance floors and DJs - you're sure to find something you like. The top floor is more main stream but if you are a dance fanatic and you're going for the tunes then you'll leave happy.

Egg is the place where you can hear real music, hang out with a savvy crowd and chill in the laid back atmosphere.

The Place: Egg unique garden -complete with a balcony terrace; bars; decks; hammocks; bean bags and sexy clubbers - is what makes it brilliantly different from the rest. Expect open air DJ performances in the summer. Inside, clubbers are greeted by a glistening interior.

There are 3 floors - the ground floor has an industrial look and feel; the middle is where you'll find the VIP area; while the NY styled loft bar serves up luxury and style. The 'Funkition One' award winning sound system is installed on every floor.

The West Ends newest Super Club with a capacity for over 1300. State-of-art décor and sound systems on 3 floors - including a designer bar on Level 3 with surveillance mirrors that give a 180 • spy glass effect.

The Music: Live bands from Wednesday to Friday. On Mondays they have funky house and electro R&B. On Tuesdays you can Salsa until 9pm. Wicked Wednesdays are for the serious clubber with a 3am close. Club Delicious on Fridays with DJs in the main room. Saturdays are Club Cherry night playing chart classics and R&B.

The Place: Sound is huge with 5 separate areas spread out over 3 floors each with its own unique design. TVs are fitted into the walls with neon illuminated seating section. Check out the Ivory rooms overlooking Leicester Square. The lower level has a sizable dance floor and intimate VIP area.

The second level has a bar and a red and white themed lounge to chill plus a large balcony overlooking the dance floor. Sound attracts a good cross-section of inner London clubbers. Drinks are pricey with a spirit + mixer at around L5. The stunning interior and breath taking views over London make this a good night out.
