Dictation 50 - Curry
A lot of foreign people believe fish and chips to be the most popular English food.
But I have to disagree! Look around any English town or city and you will see many Indian restaurants and, if you are lucky, maybe just one fish and chip shop. Why is curry so successful in the UK? Probably because of the many different spices that are used to provide its unique taste. My favourite dish is lamb madras – be careful though as it’s hot – with a glass of wine. It’s a misconception to think that beer is the best drink to go with curry. Wine brings out the taste more.
